Castleton Tower!

We got off pretty late from Ancient art and found this little place to camp in the dark. It was pretty cool to wake up in the shadow of Castleton.

I might add the approach was quite the haul...
We climbed the Kor-Ingalls Route which is the big shadowy crack system up the middle of this photo.
Me all geared up for the first pitch.
Dan atop the first pitch racking up for the second pitch.

Dan up on the second pitch.
Atop the second pitch.

A quick photo before I headed up the third pitch. I might admit I was a bit nervous due to the unforeseeable protection. However the pro was good. The third was a blast, fun climbing. Awkward and bizarre climbing but in hindsight it was pretty cool.

Fisher Towers in the upper left of the photo and the shadow of Castleton on the right.
The Priest and the Rectory from the top of Castleton.
Me atop Castleton.
Dan bracing against the strong wind gusts.

Fisher Towers Ancient Art

The amazing towers.

We climbed the tall skinny one in the middle. Ancient Art.
Side view of the cork screw.
Dan following the first pitch.
Dan leading the really cool second pitch chimney.

Me leading the short third pitch.

Dan on the belay for the final pitch.
Dan leading up the corkscrew!
We started this day a little late. 5:00 or so, the sun was setting by the time Dan was topping out. It was pretty cool with the sun right behind the Corkscrew.

Cool little belay spot.
Me being a goofball.
